You know you've been married 19 years when...
Valentines Day 2009
Sam calls from work a week before Valentine's Day and says, "I was going to get you roses for Valentine's, but they're like $100. and I thought you might prefer to spend it on a couch." (Our couches are older than 4 of our children and slipcovers just aren't doin' it anymore.) Before you can buy new couches, you have to sell the old ones, so while I went to work on Valentine's Day, my husband threw a garage sale. Actually, we had a lot more than couches to get rid of, and they didn't even sell! *BTW DI doesn't take couches with slipcovers for donations.
Still haven't found what we're looking for, so if you come to visit, pull up a pillow or bring your lawn chair :)
Valentine Dinner: The 6 of us at Chick-fil-a :) Cheap date and at least I didn't have to cook!

How funny but how true. I love it! hope you find your couch soon!
A new couch sounds wonderful! And we loved seeing the Griffiths at Chick-fil-a on Valentines. We should make it a tridition. Maybe not.
A new couch is way better than roses!!!!
I heard about your dinner out, I thought it was a romantic one with just the two of you. What good parents you are to include the kids!
Oooo, a new couch sounds a lot better to me than flowers! Have fun shopping!
