You Amaze Me!

After hours of prom dress shopping Jasmyne says, "What do you think about me making my dress?" Me, panicking "Without a pattern? Prom dress material is not very forgiving...I don't know if it's a goood idea." Jasmyne, not one to turn down a challenge decides she knows what she wants it to look like, cannot find a modest dress anywhere for less than $400 (more than my wedding dress!) and accepts the challenge. Well, prove me wrong! Although she was sewing to the very last minute. She looked stunning and went to her Senior Prom in a Jasmyne original. She's always amazing us with her talents. We sure are going to miss her when she goes to NAU this fall. Last week she received the Chandler Education Foundation Scholarship for volunteering in her community. It was a fun event at the "castle" in Chandler. She also lettered her fourth time in academics for having greater than a 4.0 grade point all four years of highschool. We are so proud! Graduation is coming soon. She got the gown and tassle today! Such an exciting time for her!
