You say it's your birthday...it's my birthday too!

Well, technically mine was last week but since I didn't have a blog last week, I'd like to report how incredibly sweet my family was to me. But first, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my younger bro., Marc. I know he will probably never read this, but if you talk to him tell him Happy Birthday!

My birthday was last week, and my family spoiled me with three days of fun! On the night before my b-day Sam got off work early and he and the kids planned a surprise with balloons, streamers, ice cream cake (yummy), and a delicious dinner. I was quite surprised! Then on my birthday I woke up to a parfait attack. Similar to a heart attack, but with parfaits instead. There were 30+ parfaits all over the house and car even before I woke up. It was like easter looking for eggs! (Thanks guys!) The reason for the parfaits was the conversation between Donkey and Shrek on the first Shrek movie..."Everybody loves a parfait" My work spoiled me rotten too with a giant balloon, cake, cards, and my friend Courtney hand made beautiful cards and signs. (Thanks Court) Sam and I went dancing that evening. We always have fun doing that. We're taking lessons again and we're not very good, but our instructor is fun and we enjoy laughing at ourselves. Sam arranged dinner at Abuelo's on Sat. with my parents and their spouses. It was delicious and the company was great! My mom gave me new purple placemats and a new set of dishes. This is monumental since before this I had five styles of dishes in my cabinet! Thanks mom! And Dad & Kathleen gave me a gift card for Joann's (my fave). Thanks guys!

Thanks guys for a fabulous birthday! I feel so blessed.
Other birthdays this month: Younger bro. Patrick and my little sweetie Abby. Speaking of Abby, the day after she turned five she came to me with a concerned look on her face. She said "I have to tell Miss Becky I'm sorry I can't come to preschool anymore because I'm five and I have to go to school with William." Why do they have to grow up?!

I'm sorry I missed your birthday! I'm not such a good friend after all eh??? I would like to blame my lack of communication on my new mommyism... but that's no excuse. I love you and still think of you often, especailly whenever I see "Beaches"(just on TV last week) So Happy late Birthday!

I love your blog! Welcome to the world of blogging. I like it because I'm not the best journaler and this makes it feel like I am capturing some of what I would put into a journal if I had one.

By the way, thanks for the listening ear yesterday. I didn't intend on dumping all my troubles on you...so thanks for being such a good friend and listening to my whinning!
